1 5. Glossary of Terms
This section defines the core terms used throughout the MetaSoilVerse Protocol whitepaper to ensure technical clarity and consistency across all stakeholders.
A sset Tokenization
The process of converting the ownership rights or usage claims of a real-world asset (e.g., solar panel, machinery, real estate unit) into a digital token , typically an NFT or SFT , on the blockchain.
V ault
A smart contract that accepts token deposits (e.g., $MSVP or stablecoins) and distributes yield generated from underlying asset activity. Vaults may be of different types:
Leasing Vaults : Aggregate income from asset leasing.
Output Vaults : Based on asset performance (e.g., solar output).
Rental Vaults : Used for real estate and physical space monetization.
S taking
The act of locking $MSVP tokens into the protocol to support asset verification, governance participation, or yield farming. Staked tokens may be subject to lock-in periods and may earn rewards.
S lashing
A penalty mechanism in which a portion or full amount of a staked balance is confiscated due to protocol violations , such as misreporting asset performance or failing uptime commitments.
O nboarding
The standardized process of bringing a new real-world asset onto the protocol. It includes verification steps (KYC, metadata collection, oracle attestation) and ends with token issuance.
P roof of Asset Integrity (PoAI)
A novel mechanism that combines real-world data verification with on-chain staking and slashing. Validators stake $MSVP to attest that assets meet required performance, compliance, and uptime criteria.
S emi-Fungible Tokens (SFTs)
Tokens that are partially interchangeable. Commonly used to represent divisible real-world assets such as property shares or machine time slots. Built on standards like ERC-1155.
L easing Engine
A protocol layer that manages automated lease scheduling, usage logging, payment processing, and dispute resolution for tokenized assets.
Y ield Vault APR
The Annual Percentage Rate earned by participants in a vault. It is determined by real-time asset usage, revenue generation, and liquidity supply.
D AO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization)
A community-governed structure that controls protocol upgrades, treasury allocation, and strategic direction. Decisions are made via token-weighted or quadratic voting mechanisms.
B ridging (Cross-Chain Messaging)
The process of transferring assets or messages across different blockchain networks using mechanisms like Lock+Mint, Burn+Reissue, or generalized message passing (e.g., LayerZero or Axelar).
S PV (Special Purpose Vehicle)
A legal entity used to wrap real-world assets for compliant tokenization, particularly in jurisdictions with strict asset ownership laws.
J urisdictional Compliance Plugins
Smart contract-based modules that enforce local laws (e.g., land registration, emissions standards) by enabling/disabling features like KYC, insurance, or staking based on location.
